The Peninsula New York is ranked by U.S. News as one of the Best Hotels in the USA for 2018, conveniently set in midtown location on 5th Avenue in the heart of Manhattan. You have 'high-end' shopping a few blocks away. Central park, MoMA (Museum of Modern Art), Broadway and Times square basically at your finger tips. Where else to discover this crazy city than here?
You could be enjoying cocktails in the hotel's Bar at the Clement, or the award-winning full Swedish at the Spa and Wellness the Peninsula New York or perhaps stunning views of the city at the roof top bar the Peninsula will have you never wanting to leave.
235 rooms and suites that are soft shades of brown and easy to adjust to that had been updated in 2009. My room (Deluxe starting at $795 per night) was on the 18th floor which gave nice views on 5th Avenue in all its reputation. The rooms quickly make you forget that you are in one of the most energetic city's in the world you are surrounded by the calmness and luxury that the room offers. The room sizes are well over what New York standards are even the smallest rooms are big! Marble bathrooms with outfitted tubs and separate shower, TV, radios systems and mood lighting are fitted in the bathroom and room. Classically designed but still has a presence of modern luxury I found. The only thing I found annoying is that there was no outlets near the bed to charge my phone and laptop, not the biggest of issues but..
From start to finish The Peninsula really lived up to the name and the history, whether staying for a week, visiting the spa or drinks you cant go wrong and surely wouldn't be disappointed.

The Peninsula New York hotel spa is for sure one of the best. The eucalyptus steam room, sauna and an amazing range of treatments such as The Jade Hot Stone Massage, European Deep Cleansing Facial and the list goes on.
The staff and the most professional, warm welcoming I have ever experienced. The hotels 22nd floor pool has amazing views, relaxing lounges and in the summer there sun deck is open which a few Manhattan hotels has to offer, even if your just passing through the city on a quick stay I would recommend to have a spa day here.

The staff go the extra mile and nothing is to much, as you may expect but its always nice and polite. Being greeted by your name in a busy hotel just goes to show the staff go out the way. After a busy day in the city its always nice coming back to the room with a turn down service which on a few occasions I was just heading out when they asked and said they would return once they knew I had left.
The restaurant itself is beautiful, with windows onto Fifth Avenue and plenty of room around the tables so you can have a private conversation and not be right next to people. The menu hasn't got the most to choose from which in my personal opinion means they can concentrate on a few dishes and making them the best which is far better than a menu with never ending choices. I should also mention a few mornings where I had room service that was very quick and once again staff went out the extra mile, to no surprise my eggs benedict was perfect each time!
